CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference Council of Chief Executive Officers approved the league's Executive Committee for the next two academic years, and USC Upstate Chancellor Dr. Bennie Harris has been elevated to Big South President for 2025-26 and 2026-27. High Point University President Dr. Nido Qubein is the new Vice President, with Longwood University President W. Taylor Reveley IV re-elected to serve the Executive Committee as an At-Large member.
Dr. Harris has served the Big South's Executive Committee as Vice President since 2023, and was the Conference's Interim President since February. He is the first USC Upstate Chancellor elected to serve as Big South Conference President. Reveley has served the Executive Committee the past two years as an At-Large member, in addition three years as Big South President from 2018-21.
The Big South Conference Executive Committee has the authority to make decisions, when necessary, for the Big South Council of Chief Executive Officers. Additionally, the Executive Committee hears any appeals regarding penalties imposed by the Commissioner.
