USC Upstate produced ESPN+ broadcasts set viewership records in 2024-2025

SPARTANBURG, S.C.-- As the start of the 2024-25 season commences, last year's viewership statistics for Big South Conference schools' ESPN+ broadcast packages were shared with conference members and USC Upstate-produced events again ranked among the league's most-watched.

In aggregate, USC Upstate produced a school-record 94 events for ESPN+ in the 2023-24 season, attracting nearly 150,000 unique viewers who consumed over 4.7 million minutes of content. On average, Upstate broadcasts drew 1,591 unique viewers per event, and the 31.6 minutes per visitor ranked third among league schools. This marks the fifth consecutive season in which fans have watched more than 2.8 million minutes of USC Upstate-produced content.

Three Upstate broadcasts surpassed 7,000 viewers, highlighted by more than 12,000 unique viewers who tuned in to the April 14, 2024 baseball game — one of the most-watched non-football regular season events in the conference last year.

ESPN+ is the premier home for college sports, broadcasting live games from more than 25 athletic conferences to an audience of over 24.8 million global subscribers. With more than 75 professionally produced USC Upstate home events each season on the platform, partners benefit from increased brand exposure and connections to hundreds of thousands of engaged viewers across the Upstate community and beyond.

Partners with USC Upstate Athletics have the opportunity to tap into this significant marketing opportunity as sponsorship and commercial inventory is available within each broadcast. For more information, contact Lenny Mathis at LDMathis@uscupstate.edu.
