SPARTANBURG, S.C. - As a new chapter begins for Upstate Softball to prepare for the 2025-26 year, Head Coach Chris Hawkins has officially announced the schedule for the fall games. 

With a new school year beginning, the softball program is eager to bring returning faces and newcomers together to begin their journey in Spartanburg. As the training ramps up, Upstate Softball will look to put the pieces together under the regime of Chris Hawkins, Bryan Pack, Tonya Medders, and John Winters.  

The fall schedule will open with a Wednesday evening matchup against Gaston College on September 24th beginning at 6:00 P.M.  The action picks up with USC Sumter coming into town September 26th taking on Upstate at 5:00 P.M. The following day will have a day full of action with Daytona State and Lander taking the field at 10:00 A.M. Upstate follows with noon action against Daytona State followed by taking the field at 2:00 P.M. against Lander. Hitting the tail end of September, Spartanburg Methodist travels cross-town to Cyrill Stadium taking on the Spartans for a Tuesday evening matchup at 6:00 P.M.  

 With a new month in store, Emmanuel College travels to Hub City for a Friday afternoon showdown at 2:00 P.M. against the Spartans. Capping off fall ball, Cyrill Stadium will have a three-game slate with USC Union and Erskine College taking the field first for an 11:00 A.M. matchup. Upstate will follow suit, taking on USC Union at 1:00 P.M. and Erskine at 3:00 P.M. Each game will be played at the Hawkins Field at Cyrill Stadium with free admission. 

Head Coach Chris Hawkins has been ecstatic about bringing all his newcomers and his returners to showcase their hard work as the Spartans prepare for the 2026 season with fall ball. "I'm excited about the team we assembled for the 2026 season." Coach Hawkins also mentioned, "This fall is about gelling and creating a family!"
