Upstate: Sophomore Guard, Carmelo Adkins continues to improve across the boards, averaging 13.2 points per game with a recent 16-point performance in the conference opener against Radford. Adkins also led with eight rebounds and three steals in the bout while shooting 6-for-11 from the field, 2-for-4 from the perimeter, and 2-for-2 from the charity stripe. Carmelo Adkins continues to be an all-around player shooting 39 percent from the field, 37 percent from beyond the arc, and a team-leading 81 percent from the free throw line. Adkins has grabbed five or more rebounds in 10 games on the season and looks to help Upstate have their second consecutive game winning the rebounding battle against Presbyterian.

Presbyterian: Redshirt Senior Forward, Jonah Pierce leads the Blue Hose with 14.5 points per game while shooting 55 percent from the field and a team leading 8.9 rebounds a game. Through 15 games played, Pierce has added seven different performances with 10+ rebounds, including his season-high of 16 rebounds against Morehead State. Pierce also adds 0.9 steals a game and tied first for blocks with 1.4 a game. As Pierce enters conference play with the Blue Hose, he will look to challenge the Spartans on both ends of the floor.
