Women's Basketball Closes Big South Play's First Half, Hosting Radford Wednesday to Begin Two-Game Homestand

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Coming off a two-game road swing as Big South Conference play turns to a two-game homestand for the Spartans—the second of three such homestands during league play—USC Upstate women's basketball begins said homestand, welcoming Radford to the G.B. Hodge Center Wednesday (7 p.m. ET tip). The Spartans enter their latest contest seeking to snap a four-game losing streak against the Highlanders, looking to swing a 13-4 Radford lead in the series back in their favor.

USC Upstate: The Spartans' leading scorer against Longwood Friday, scoring in double figures for the sixth time in Big South play and 10th time overall, redshirt junior guard Aubrie Kierscht scored 13 markers, jumping her scoring average to 11.2 points per game overall and 13.6 points per game in Big South play. Much of her damage is done beyond the arc, shooting 39.5 percent—ranked second in the Big South behind teammate, redshirt sophomore guard Cassie Gallagher (41.9 percent)—hitting 49 triples at an average of 2.72 per game. She complements her scoring with 30 rebounds, 11 steals, and 10 assists.
 
Radford: Dropping 20 or more points in both contests last week, averaging 22.0 points per game, junior guard Joi Williams is the reigning Big South Player of the Week, her second such honor of the 2025-26 season. She's averaging 13.4 points per game this season, improving to 15.7 points per game with three 20-plus-point games over her last four contests. She shoots 40.9 percent from the field and 37.3 percent from three while adding 45 assists, 38 steals, and six blocks.
