USC Upstate to host 2026 Big South Softball Championship at Cyrill Stadium May 6-9

USC Upstate will play host to the 2026 Big South Softball Championship at Hawkins Field at Cyrill Stadium, May 6-9. The tournament will feature the top five teams in the final Big South standings in a double-elimination format beginning Wednesday, May 6. The first day of the tournament, Wednesday, May 6 will see the 4-seed vs. 5-seed in the lone game of the day. Thursday will see three contests including the first elimination game. Friday will also see three contests and the championship will be played on Saturday with an "if necessary" game to follow. All games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The winner of the championship receives the Big South's automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals. USC Upstate has won back-to-back Big South tournament titles and has played in Regionals at Alabama and Clemson the last two seasons.Â
Tickets will be sold for the championship including chairback reserved seats behind home plate and general admission seating on the grass berms surrounding Cyrill Stadium. Tailgate chairs and blankets are welcome. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed and are not allowed in the chairback seating areas.
