Dylan Auman

Dylan Auman is in his second season as an assistant coach with the USC Upstate women's basketball program.

Auman joins the Spartan after spending the 2017-18 season as a graduate assistant coach at Columbus State University. During his lone season at Columbus State, Auman helped coach the Cougars to their fifth consecutive NCAA Division II tournament appearance, and 11th overall, following a third place finish in the Peach Belt Conference. Columbus State junior Tatiana Wayne was named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year as well as the Southeast Region Player of the Year.

Before joining Columbus State, Auman was a coach at Combine Academy, a prep school in Matthews, N.C. during the 2016-17 school year. Auman spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at USCAA DII member Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, N.C. on the first varsity women's basketball program in campus history. 

Auman began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant at Elms College in Chicopee, Mass. During his tenure, the Blazers won consecutive NECC Regular Season championships and made appearances in the NCAA Division III and ECAC regional tournaments. 

As a student at UNC Asheville, Auman was a team manager for the men's basketball team, winning two Big South Championships and appearing in two NCAA tournaments. He was the head coach of the middle school team and an assistant on the high school varsity team at Veritas Christian Academy in 2008. 

Auman graduated from UNC Asheville in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in mass communications. He now resides in Spartanburg with his wife, Stephenie.
