2019-2020 (Freshman Season): Jernigan saw action in 28 games this season with 10 starts in his rookie campaign…The Tar Heel State native averaged 17.6 minutes of game time and averaged 4.5 points per contest…Led the freshman class in total rebounds (81) and finished fourth on the team in assists (65) and steals (25)…Jernigan scored a season high 11 points against Radford (1/16/20), recorded a season high 9 rebounds against Hampton (1/8/20), dished out 8 assists against VMI (12/29/19) and had a season best 6 steals against Truett-McConnell.

High School: Serving as a team captain during his senior season, Jernigan averaged 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists per game while helping lead West Charlotte to a North Carolina Class AAAA runner-up finish. Jernigan was selected All-Conference and All-Region while earning a spot on the All-Charlotte Observer Team. He finished his prep career as a 1,000-point scorer.
