Biography

Honors:  2017 Unanimous ASUN All-Freshman Team

2020 (RS-Junior): In a season shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic…Dorgan made 23 starts and recorded a .234 batting average…Dorgan recorded 11 hits, 1 double, collected 7-RBI’s and scored 14 times…In the field she recorded 149 putouts at first base.

2019: Started all 54 games that she played in during the season. Dorgan had 44 hits on 144 plate appearances earning her a .306 batting average. She had 7 doubles, 1 triple, 7 home runs, and 32 RBI’s throughout the year. Also had 18 total walks. She went 5-5 on stolen base attempts. Best game of the season came against Furman (Apr. 24th) where Dorgan went 2-2 with 1 home run, 1 hit by pitch, and 5 total RBI’s. She helped lead the team to an 11-3 victory that day. Team rankings: 3rd in slugging percentage (.514), 5th in hits (44), 3rd in RBI’s (32), 4th in doubles (7), 2nd in home runs (7), 3rd in total bases (74), 1st in hit by pitch (5), 4th in fielding percentage (.996), and 1st in putouts (284). Ended the season ranked in the top 10 in two categories at the Big South Conference: 6th in putouts (284) and 3rd in fielding double plays (11).

2018:  Redshirted due to injury.

2017:  Played in 34 games with 19 starts…Hit .238 with seven home runs and 17 RBI…Compiled a .587 slugging percentage, first on the team, and .351 on-base percentage…Added one double…Homered twice in ASUN play to go with a .419 slugging percentage…Posted five multi-RBI games, and had a season-best three game hitting streak and reached base in five straight games…Tied for fifth in the ASUN with seven home runs in just 63 at bats…Six of her first 11 hits were home runs…Hit her first career grand slam against N.C. State where she drove in a career-best four RBI…Drove in three runs against South Carolina and two versus Howard…Scored two runs twice against N.C. State and Jacksonville… Made a pinch-hitting appearance against 25th-ranked Ohio State in the NCAA Regional.

High School/Travel Ball:  Graduated from Gilbert High School where she lettered in softball, basketball and volleyball… Part of three straight Region and District Championship teams… Was named All-State and All-Region for softball in 2014, while also being named Player of the Year…Played travel ball for both Carolina Aftershock and Carolina Elite Norton.

Personal:  Born on June 17, 1998…Parents are Fred and Kathy Dorgan…Has four sisters, Danielle, Lyndie, Ashleigh and Tara.
