Javier Tori is in his first season as a volunteer assistantcoach for the men's tennis team.

Tori was a four-year letterwinner for the Spartans(2007-10).  As a senior, he earned First-Team All-A-Sun honorsfor his outstanding singles play.  He also earned Second-TeamAll-A-Sun honors for doubles play.  He posted a 23-5 mark insingles play and finished 21-2 in dual meets and capped his seniorseason by winning 16 straight singles matches.  He also beatregionally-ranked opponents this year in Stetson's Cesare Gallo andGeorgia's Bo Seal and set the A-Sun record for player of the weekawards in a season (3) and career (5) while finishing a perfect10-0 in A-Sun play.

The all-time wins leader at USC Upstate, Tori, a No. 3 singlesplayer and a No. 1 doubles player, holds the school record forsingles (86), doubles (81) and combined (167) wins. He is the loneplayer in school history to win 20 singles matches in all threeyears and 20 doubles matches in all four years.
