Jen Lamonica is in her first season as student assistant coachafter being on the team in 2010 but not playing. She will assistthe coaching staff on on-field duties throughout the season.
Lamonica is a native of Toronto, Ontario, and came to the UnitedStates to pitch at Spartanburg Methodist College. She was a part ofa Pioneer squad that advanced to the JUCO National Championships,finishing fifth in 2008 and ninth in 2009. She was 4-0 with a 0.50ERA as a sophomore in 2009. She made nine appearances and tossed28.0 innings. As a freshman, she was 2-0 with a 1.40 ERA in 2008.She tossed 15 innings in 16 appearances.
