SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Four different Spartans reached the double-figure scoring column to lead USC Upstate to a 25-point victory over visiting North Florida Monday night inside the Hodge Center.

Adrian Rodgers (Alpharetta, Ga.) paced the Spartans with a game-high 17 points behind a 6-for-12 effort from the floor (1-of-2 3FG) and a perfect 4-for-4 mark at the charity stripe.  Ty Greene (Knoxville, Tenn.) finished 4-for-6 from the floor (3-of-3 3FG) and 4-of-4 at the line en route to a 15-point performance.  Torrey Craig (Great Falls, S.C.) pitched in 15 points, while Babatunde Olumuyiwa (Athens, Ga.) added 10.

"We were very methodical and consistent from possession to possession and we didn't have a lot of bad breakdowns," said head coach Eddie Payne.  "We did a nice job defensively in every phase and on the offensive side of the ball, I think we had the best ball movement of the season.  We had a lot of good inside out action tonight and we shot the ball well because of our ball movement."

Upstate (17-10, 10-4 Atlantic Sun Conference) got on the scoreboard first when Craig canned a three-pointer to put Upstate in front, 3-0, just 38 seconds into the contest.  Jerron Granberry tied the contest less than thirty seconds later with a triple from the wing.  The 3-3 tie with 18:58 to play in the first half would be the only tie of the contest.

The Spartans regained the lead, a lead they never relinquished, when Jodd Maxey (Statham, Ga.) connected on a lay-up at the 17:27 mark of the first period.

After UNF's (13-15, 7-8) Parker Smith closed the gap to two, the Spartans used a 5-0 spurt to take a 12-5 lead with 15:42 to play in the half.

Thanks to back-to-back baskets by Travis Wallace, the Ospreys climbed within three (12-9) at the 14:47 mark.

Upstate used a 20-7 run over a span of 7:57 to take a 32-16 lead with just 6:27 to play in the half.  During the run, Upstate made four three-point shots and Greene highlighted the run with seven points.

Despite making just one field goal in the final four minutes of the half, Upstate was able to take a 40-29 lead into the locker room at intermission after Rodgers sank a jumper along the baseline as time expired.

Upstate opened the second half on a 11-2 run to take a 51-31 lead with 16:55 to play.  The Spartan surge was highlighted by Ricardo Glenn's (Augusta, Ga.) put-back slam on a missed shot by Maxey.

The Spartan lead ballooned to as many as 30 in the final minutes before the Spartans secured a 77-52 victory Monday.

Upstate tallied nine assists on their first 11 field goals and finished the contest with 17 assists on 27 made baskets.

The Spartans finished an even 50.0% (27-54) from the floor and connected on 61.5% (8-13) of their three-point attempts.  The squad finished 15-for-20 from the line for a 75.0% mark.

UNF finished the contest 38.0% from the floor, 36.8% from beyond the arc and just 41.2% at the line.

The Spartans, who owned the rebounding advantage (40-27), led the way in points in the paint (28-18), points off of turnovers (22-6) and bench scoring (30-18).  The squads were tied in second-chance points (9-9) and transition scoring (2-2).

Upstate will make its final road trip of the regular-season as they travel to Nashville, Tenn., for a pair of league games.  The Spartans will face Lipscomb Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. (CT) in a contest set to air on ESPN3.  Upstate will close out the road trip Monday at Belmont (7 p.m. CT).
