SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Two days after tossing his second complete game shutout of the season, USC Upstate pitcher Brandon Lee (Palatka, Fla.) has been tabbed the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week by College Sports Madness.

Lee (3-1) pitched four perfect innings Sunday as Upstate claimed a 7-0 victory over A-Sun foe Lipscomb.  In all, he allowed eight hits and three walks while fanning seven during his nine-inning, 136-pitch outing as the squad improved to 15-3 overall and 3-0 in league play.

Earlier this season, Lee tossed a complete game shutout against Eastern Kentucky (2/26/12).

With the sweep of the Bison, the Spartans sit atop the A-Sun Standings and it marked the first time since 2009 that the Spartans swept a conference series (at Campbell, May 14-15, 2009).
