COLUMBIA, S.C. – With USC Upstate holding a 3-0 advantage in the middle of the second at No. 1 South Carolina, rain/lightning entered the area at 7:42 p.m. and never left and forced the cancellation of Tuesday's contest.

The Spartans will close out the 2012 regular season with a three-game Atlantic Sun series at Mercer.  With a win and a Stetson loss, Upstate will clinch the number one seed at next week's A-Sun Championship (May 23-26; DeLand, Fla.).
