Upstate Basketball Coaches Show Begins Tuesday Night

Spartanburg, S.C. – The Upstate Basketball Coaches Show featuring head men's basketball coach Eddie Payne will begin its run of eight shows on the radio Tuesday night, Jan. 7, at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN Spartanburg 97.1 FM and 1400 AM, the home of Spartan men's basketball.

The Upstate Basketball Coaches Show will run for 30 minutes each Tuesday starting tomorrow and ending the eight-show run on February 25. Phil Cox, the play-by-play announcer for the men's basketball games on ESPN Spartanburg, will serve as the host of the show. Head men's coach Eddie Payne will serve as the primary headliner on each show, while the women's team will also be highlighted.

Fans not in the Spartanburg area and not listening to the radio or online audio stream will have the added bonus of being able to watch the show online through Upstate Athletics' Youtube channel (see below for daily video links). The show will be interactive with fans able to submit questions for Coach Payne and Cox via phone calls to ESPN Spartanburg (864-573-1400) and through Twitter at @UpstateSpartans or @UPSTMBB. Fans can access free audio of the show online with links on upstatespartans.com and espnspartanburg.com.
