Johnson City, Tenn. – Hannah Short scored three goals and had one assist to lead ETSU to a 5-0 victory over the USC Upstate women's soccer team Friday night in non-conference action from Summers-Taylor Stadium.
Short has scored at least one goal in every game this season and currently leads the nation with 15.
Molly Collinson started the scoring when she notched her third goal of the season with a shot past Upstate keeper Ellen Bright in the 40th minute. Sarah Zadrazil and Short both picked up an assist on the play.
Short registered her first goal of the game minutes before halftime when she headed in a cross from Paola Roversi in the 43rd minute to put ETSU ahead 2-0 at intermission. Short added another goal just after halftime in the 52nd minute and later completed the hat trick with a goal in the 68th minute.
Kristi Davis capped the scoring for the Buccaneers with a goal in the 87th minute to register her third of the season.
Upstate returns to action Sunday at 1 p.m. when the Spartans travel to Lexington, Va., to take on VMI from Patchin Field.
