Spartanburg, S.C. – Inclement weather has forced the cancellation of the USC Upstate softball team's doubleheader scheduled for this afternoon at Charlotte's D.L. Phillips Softball Complex.

The Spartans and 49ers were originally slated to play at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. this afternoon. No make up date has been decided yet.

Upstate will remain in Spartanburg this weekend as it hosts the eight-team Spartan Classic at Cyrill Stadium. The Spartans are set to face La Salle, Morehead State, Ohio, Ohio State, Virginia and Virginia Tech during the three-day tournament.
