Johnson City, Tenn. – Georgia Allen's goal at the 52:56 mark gave the ETSU Bucs a 1-0 victory over the USC Upstate women's soccer team in the season opener on Friday night at Summers-Taylor Stadium.  

ETSU improves to 1-0 while Upstate falls to 0-1.

• ETSU held a 22-8 edge in shots and 14-3 in shots on goal.
• Brooke Bailey made 13 saves for Upstate while Jasmine Elliot made three saves for ETSU.
• Upstate held an 8-6 edge in corner kicks.
