Fort Myers, Fla. – The FGCU Eagles scored three goals in the first half en route to a 4-0 victory over USC Upstate in a weather-shortened match on Friday night at the FGCU Soccer Complex.

FGCU improves to 7-4-0 overall and 1-0 in league play while Upstate falls to 0-10-2 and 0-2.

Stats of the Match

• FGCU outshot Upstate 25-3. Maddie Little, Jada Kinlaw and Kate Winegarner each took a shot for the Spartans.
• The Eagles held a 12-1 advantage in corner kicks.
• Brooke Bailey made eight saves for Upstate. Melissa Weck made three saves for FGCU.
• The match was called with 5:13 remaining due to lightning.

FGCU Goals

• Emilie Olsen took a cross from Tabby Tindell and one-timed the ball into the net from 18 yards out 1:25 into the match (FGCU 1, Upstate 0).
• Tindell scored on a penalty kick at 5:11 after being taken down inside the box (FGCU 2, Upstate 0).
• Tindell split a pair of Upstate defenders and fired to the right of the keeper at 19:02 (FGCU 3, Upstate 0).  
• Olsen completed the scoring at 51:06 with a goal from just outside the 18 yard box (FGCU 4, Upstate 0).
