Atlanta, Ga. – The Georgia State Panthers scored two first half goals on Sunday evening to claim a 2-0 non-conference victory over the USC Upstate men's soccer team at the GSU Soccer Complex.
Upstate falls to 0-2 overall while Georgia State improves to 2-0 on the season.
STATS OF THE MATCH
- The Panthers held a 10-4 advantage over the Spartans in shots.
- Upstate led 3-1 in corner kicks as well as 2-1 in saves.
- Cam Philpot attempted a team-high two shots for the Spartans, while Sebastian Quinteros and Florian Langenegger took one apiece.

- The Panthers extended their lead to 2-0 in the 44th minute when a throw in by Liam Fitzsimmons reached the foot of Rashid Alarape, who scored past Restrepo. (USC Upstate 0, Georgia State 2)
