SPARTANBURG, S.C.- The USC Upstate women's soccer team will be looking for their first road victory of the 2019 season tomorrow night against Presbyterian College, the Spartans and the Bluehose are set for a 7 p.m. kickoff in Clinton, S.C.

USC Upstate (2-4-3, 0-2-1 BSC) is looking to defeat Presbyterian (3-7-0, 2-1-0 BSC) for the third consecutive year on Wednesday night. The Spartans have outscored the Bluehose 4-0 over the previous two meetings and have out shot Presbyterian 30-16 over that same time span. However, Presbyterian holds a 5-3 advantage over the Spartans in the Division I era.

Last season a Presbyterian own goal and
Montanna Hill (Mount Airy, Md.) score resulted in the Spartans 2-0 win over the Bluehose.
Abbie Ellis (Clemmons, N.C.) and
Isabella Burns led the Spartans offensive attack last season with four shots each.
Logan Pace (Belmont, N.C.) stood strong and registered the clean sheet and a quartet of saves in the win.

The last time the Spartans traveled to Clinton they came away with a 2-0 victory. Presbyterian starting goalkeeper Alyssa Leaman was given a red card and ejected from the game in the 43
rd minute of the contest. The Spartans took advantage of the man up situation and scored a pair of goals in the second half by
Erin Wright (Huntersville, N.C.) and
Jada Kinlaw (Greenville, S.C.). Ellis and
Emelie Valenciano led the Spartans offensive attack with a trio of shots in the game.
Samantha Munyon recorded a clean sheet in the net and four saves on the day.

This season Ellis, Hill and
Emma Honis (Ocoee, Fla.) have paced the Spartans offensive attack. Ellis is currently tied for the team lead in goals (3) with Honis and is tied for the team lead in assists (2) with Hill, Kinlaw and
Stephanie Linton (Odessa, Fla.). Ellis still leads the team in points (8) and game winning goals (2). Honis, meanwhile leads the team in total shots (22) and shots on goal (6). Hill is second on the team in goals (2), shots (11) and shots on goal (5).

As a team the Spartans have recorded the seventh fewest fouls per game nationally. USC Upstate is averaging around 5.50 fouls per contest. The Spartans also rank third nationally in saves per game with an 8.13 average.

Pace is currently ranked in the top-25 nationally in three different categories. The Tar Heel State native ranks 24
th nationally in save percentage (.865), ranks 14
th nationally in total saves (64) and ranks third nationally in saves per game.

Presbyterian is currently ranked nationally in a few categories teams do not want to be ranked in. The Bluehose lead the conference and are ranked 31
st nationally in Yellow Cards with 10 on the season. Presbyterian is also ranked fifth nationally in Red Cards with one on the season. Isabelle Russell is currently ranked eighth nationally in Yellow Cards with three on the season.
Morgan Hutchison is the offensive leader for the Bluehose in goals (3), assists (3), points (9), total shots (25), shots on goal (10) and game-winning goals (1). Three other players have scored at least twice for Presbyterian and four more have scored at least one goal on the season. Megan Serrano is second in the Big South behind Pace in total saves. Serrano is ranked 40
th nationally and has recorded 52 saves on the season.
