FARMVILLE, VA. – The USC Upstate women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Longwood on Saturday afternoon in front of crowd of 115 people.
USC Upstate (2-8-3, 0-6-1 BSC) has now lost six straight matches dating back to the start of Big South play and they are now 1-2 all-time against Longwood (5-6-1, 3-2-1 BSC).
Through almost the first half-hour of play the Spartans and the Lancers played a tightly contested contest. Then a through ball from the mid-field opened things up for Longwood. Kaitlyn Cox connected with Kennedy Culbreath and the Lancers took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
The second half did not go much better for the Spartans as Emilie Kupsov scored four minutes into the half to give the Lancers a 2-0 advantage. Longwood scored their third and final goal in the 86
th minute by Madison Hommey.

- USC Upstate was outshot 21-7 in overall shots and 11-2 in shots on goal.
- Logan Pace recorded 8 saves in the match to lead both goalies.
- Abbie Ellis registered a pair of shots to lead the Spartans offense on the afternoon.
