Series History
This is the 25th all-time meeting between USC Upstate and Gardner-Webb. The overall series is tied at 12 games each, with Gardner-Webb having won the past four matchups. Last season the Spartans fell 64-59 on the road to Gardner-Webb in their only conference meeting of the season.
Nevin Zink had a game high 18-points and 9-rebounds in the loss, while
Pat Welch contributed 12-points. The Spartans will be looking for their first win in Boiling Springs since the 1992-93 season, that year USC Upstate prevailed 76-66.

UPSTATE – USC Upstate is coming off a 63-59 setback to Radford on Thursday night. The loss broke a two game winning streak for the Spartans.

Gardner-Webb – Gardner-Webb is 5-11 overall this and 1-3 in the Big South Conference. The Bulldogs have lost three straight with their most recent loss coming against Winthrop in triple overtime. The Eagles prevailed 99-91 despite Jose Perez scoring 35-points in the contest. Jaheam Cornwall added 16-points and Eric Jamison Jr added 12-points in the loss. The Bulldogs last win came on December 19th against Bob Jones University.
