Series History
Saturday's meeting between Upstate and Longwood marks the fifth all-time meeting between the two programs who have met in each season since the Spartans joined the Big South in 2018. The Lancers lead the series 2-1-1 with the teams playing to a 1-1 draw last season at County University Soccer Stadium. Upstate's lone victory in the series came in the 2018 Big South Women's Soccer Championship First Round with a 1-0 victory—the program's first postseason victory in the D1 era.

Ones to Watch
Upstate: Scoring a goal and tallying an assist against Presbyterian, freshman forward
Katherine Cunningham became the third Spartan to tally a goal and an assist in a single match. Her goal in the 13
th minute marked the first of her career as she's the fourth Spartan to collect their first career goal this season. Cunningham's assist was her third in 2021, tying for the third-most in a single season in the program's Division I era.

Longwood: Senior goalkeeper Jordan Horacek earned Big South Defensive Player of the Week honors this week after posting a pair of shutouts last week against Campbell and Charleston Southern. She collected 11 saves in the two matches, posting six against the Camels and five against the Buccaneers. Overall, she's totaled 51 saves in 14 matches.

UP Next for the Spartans
Following its final road match of the season Saturday, Upstate returns to County University Soccer Stadium for the first of three home matches to end the season on October 20. The Spartans host Gardner-Webb with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET.
