Series History
Saturday's meeting between Upstate and Radford marks the fifth meeting between the two programs in the Spartans' Division I era. First meeting in 2007 and then in each season since Upstate joined the Big South, the Highlanders captured the first three meetings before the Spartans broke through last season with a 2-1 victory at County University Soccer Stadium.

Ones to Watch
Upstate: Scoring in each of Upstate's last two matches to help the program to a pair of positive results in Big South Conference play, redshirt junior forward
Javier Torres enters Saturday's match as the Spartans' leading goal scorer. He tallied the equalizer in the 34
th minute against Longwood last Saturday before giving Upstate a first-half lead in the 27
th minute at High Point, scoring in consecutive matches for the first time in his career.
Radford: Propelling Radford to its first Big South victory of the season, midfielder Ryan Machado-Jones tallied a pair of goals for the Highlanders against UNC Asheville Wednesday. In scoring twice, he became the fourth Radford player this season with three or more goals on the year while he's tied for the team lead in points scored, adding a pair of assists in 2021.

Following its back-to-back road matches, Upstate returns to County University Soccer Stadium for its penultimate home match of the year, entertaining Winthrop on October 13. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.
