Series History
Monday's meeting between USC Upstate and St. Andrews is just the second meeting between the two programs in the Spartans' Division I era as the two teams' only meeting took place during the 2014-15 season. The Spartans took the lone meeting 79-39 at the G.B. Hodge Center on February 3, 2015, with Michael Buchanan leading a quartet of double-figure scorers with a double-double behind 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Scoring 11 points in back-to-back games at South Carolina and Charlotte, freshman guard Jordan Gainey joins senior forward Bryson Mozone as the two Spartans averaging double-figures this season as he's notched double-digits in each game of his collegiate career. Gainey totaled a team-high seven rebounds against South Carolina before leading the Spartans with three assists versus Charlotte.
 
St. Andrews: The Knights enter Monday's game with three players scoring in double-figures led by guard Isaac Clay who averages 11.8 points per game this season. In St. Andrew's Appalachian Athletic Conference play, he's upped his scoring average to 12.3 points per game, including a 24 point outing against Milligan on November 11.
