Series History
at Big South Championship: Since joining the Big South prior to the 2018-19 academic year, USC Upstate has made one appearance, qualifying as the No. 5 seed in 2018. The Spartans dropped their lone match at the Big South Championship, falling 3-2 versus No. 4 UNC Asheville.
 
vs. North Carolina A&T: Meeting for the third time since the two programs joined the Big South, Upstate and North Carolina A&T are meeting for the sixth time in the Spartans' D1 era. Upstate leads the series 4-1 with the two teams splitting a pair of meetings—with each team winning on their home floor—during the regular season.

Players to Watch
Upstate: After finishing the regular season as the only player in the Big South with 250-plus kills and 250-plus digs, senior outside hitter Kelly Wiedemann garnered Honorable Mention All-Conference honors the league announced Wednesday. She's collected 260 kills and 290 digs this season, recording 14 matches with 10-plus kills and 15 matches with 10-plus digs while collecting eight double doubles.
 
North Carolina A&T: Earning First Team All-Big South honors, setter/right-side hitter Edie Brewer represents the Aggies top all-around player as she ranks top two on her team in kills, assists, aces, and digs while ranking fourth on the team in total blocks. She's tallied 206 kills, 607 assists, and 279 digs as a six-rotation player for North Carolina A&T.
