Ones to Watch
Upstate – Senior forward Pol Monells returns for the Spartans this season. Monells started all 17 games for Upstate in the 2019 season and led the Spartans in shots, shots on goal, assists, and total points on the year. He scored three goals in that season, one of them being a game-winner against Wofford. Monells was also named to the Big South First Team All-Conference list in 2019.
A newcomer expected to make an immediate impact this season is Elias Ehlin, a freshman defender from Kalmar, Sweden.
South Carolina – Andrew Halloran is coming off his first-career hat trick Sunday afternoon that propelled the Gamecocks past Winthrop, 4-2. All three of Halloran's goals came in the second half, and he was named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
