SPARTANBURG, SC—The USC Upstate women's soccer team will take on Campbell University at the Marion and Mary Eakes Athletics Complex in Buies Creek, NC, on Sunday evening.
USC Upstate (0-1-1, 0-1-1 BSC) and Campbell University (1-3, 1-2 BSC) are meeting for the seventh time in program history. Last season the Spartans hosted the Camels in Spartanburg, SC, where they were defeated 5-0 being outshot 18-9 in overall shots and 7-4 in shots on goal.
The Spartans ended their previous game of the season in a 3-1 loss against the Winthrop Eagles. This loss keeps the Spartans tied for seventh place in the standings for the Big South Conference.
The sole win for Campbell comes from taking on the team holding eighth place in the women's soccer Big South Conference standings, the University of Asheville. Currently the Camels are tied for seventh with the Spartans in the standings.
