Spartans Prepare To Take On Highlanders On The Road

SPARTANBURG, SC—The USC Upstate women's soccer team will travel to Radford, Virginia, to take on the Radford Highlanders at Patrick D. Cupp Memorial Stadium tomorrow night.

USC Upstate (0-2-1, 0-2-1 BSC) and Radford (4-1-1, 3-1-1 BSC) are meeting for the seventh time in program history. Upstate is looking to gain their first win against Radford. Last season the Spartans hosted the Highlanders, where they were defeated 5-2 being outshot 29-9 in overall shots and 15-4 in shots on goal.

The Spartans ended their previous game of the season in their second Big South loss against the Campbell Camels. This loss put the Spartans in ninth place in the standings for the Big South Conference.

The only loss this season for Radford comes from their first Big South matchup against Presbyterian College. Currently the Highlanders are in second place in the standings.
