Series History
Radford leads the series 5-0 dating back to Sept. 6, 2008. The Spartans will be looking for their first-ever win over the Highlanders.
Last Time Out
The Spartans are coming off a series sweep against UNC Asheville this past week as they put the Bulldogs down in straight sets in both matches. The Spartans have now won four straight matches, which is the most consecutive conference wins in Upstate's DI era, to improve to 5-7 on the season. Upstate has also set a new DI era record for most consecutive sets won with 12.
Radford will be looking to get back on track after dropping six straight sets to Winthrop last week.
Ones to Watch
Upstate – Kelly Wiedemann leads the Spartans with 82 total kills on the year and is averaging a team-high 2.10 per set. She also ranks sixth in the Big South in services aces with 14 total and .36 per set. She tallied 21 total kills, 3.50 per set, with a .250 hitting percentage across both matches against UNC Asheville. She also collected 20 digs with an average of 3.33 per set and had two blocks and four service aces. The outside hitter put up 12 kills and nine digs on Thursday followed by nine kills and 11 digs on Friday.
Mackenzie Marcum averaged 5.50 digs per set this past week in the sweep over UNC Asheville. She collected 33 total digs across the two matches and also had four service aces. Marcum came up with some crucial defensive plays in Friday's match and tallied a season-high 18 digs on the day. She ranks ninth in the Big South with 139 total digs and is averaging 3.48 per set.
Radford – Samantha Reitz and Hailey Flowers each had double-digit kills against the Eagles last week. Reitz led with 11 on Thursday night, while Flowers chipped in 10 on Friday. Reitz leads the team with 104 kills. Setter Maddie Lentz leads the Highlanders with 131 assists. Grace Green has 133 digs and 10 service aces, both team-highs, and Kennedi Johnson has a team-high 44 blocks.

The Spartans close out the season on the road with a series against Charleston Southern March 29-30. Match one is set for 6 p.m. on Monday followed by a 2 p.m. start on Tuesday.
