Sarah Gildersleeve is in her second year as the Associate A.D./Student-Athlete Enrichment and SWA at USC Upstate.

Gildersleeve was promoted to Associate A.D./Student-Enrichment and SWA coordinator on January 15,2020. 

Before joining the staff at USC Upstate, Gildersleeve served as an Academic Coordinator with the Student-Athlete Services department at Georgia Southern University. Gildersleeve advised the women’s soccer, softball and volleyball programs while also serving as a tutor coordinator. While at Georgia Southern, she assisted the athletic department in achieving a cumulative GPA of over 3.0 for three consecutive academic years, which had never been done before in athletics history. Beyond advising, Gildersleeve was involved with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was a member of the Georgia Southern Advisor Training Committee (GSAT).

Prior to joining the staff at Georgia Southern, Gildersleeve served as the volleyball assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Wofford College. Before joining the Wofford staff, Gildersleeve was at Lindsey Wilson College. She helped coach Lindsey Wilson’s volleyball team to a 36-6 record in 2013 highlighted by a 24-0 start. The Blue Raiders won the Mid-South Conference Regular Season championship with a perfect 14-0 record and were ranked as high as eighth nationally in the NAIA. Lindsey Wilson also boasted three NAIA All-Americans in 2013 including one of Gildersleeve’s middle blockers.

A native of Raleigh, N.C., Gildersleeve earned a B.S. in sports management from Georgia Southern in 2011 and her M.Ed. in higher education administration in 2017. Gildersleeve is also a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) and Womens Leaders in College Sports
