SPARTANBURG, SC—USC Upstate women's soccer lost to Winthrop University 3-1 on Sunday evening at County University Soccer Stadium in their second Big South contest.
Raegan Meyer (Wake Forest, NC) made a shot attempt at 16:45 that was saved by the Winthrop goalie. Meyer took another shot on target at 44:01.
Winthrop made two goals within a minute of each other in the first half. Radvanski made the first goal for the Eagles at 31:12. Jennings assisted Uptegrove in the second goal at 31:37.
At the start of the second half,
Jane Bossler (Reading, Penn) took a shot that was blocked by the Eagles at 53:04.
Ashley Finn (Wake Forest, NC) scored the only goal for the Spartans at 55:22 in the second half.
Match Stats:
The Spartans were outshot by Winthrop 11-9. The Spartans and Eagles tied 5-5 with shots on goal during the match.
Winthrop and Upstate both recorded one corner kick.
The Eagles were the only team to receive yellow cards during the contest. Scandrett got one at 82:08 and Uptegrove getting one at 83:00.

USC Upstate will stay at home for another match this week to host Presbyterian College. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm on Thursday, March 11.
