USC Upstate (0-5-1, 0-5-1 BSC) and Charleston Southern (2-4-1, 2-4-1 BSC) have battled each other eight times, leaving Upstate with a 3-5 record. The Spartans are looking to gain another win under their belt against the Buccaneers.
Last season Upstate traveled to Charleston, where they suffered a 0-3 loss trailing the Buccaneers 9-17 in shots and 1-10 shots on goals.
Charleston Southern gained a win Wednesday against UNC Asheville in overtime putting them eighth in the Big South standings. USC Upstate remains tenth in the Big South standings after suffering a loss against the Blue Hose Thursday evening.
