In the Spartans' Division I era, they hold a 1-1-0 record against the Chanticleers, winning the series' prior meeting in Conway, S.C. on Oct. 1, 2019, 1-0 as Mario Arrocha scored his first career goal in the 54^th minute to give the Spartans the victory.

Ones to Watch
Upstate: Redshirt junior forward Mario Arrocha netted his second goal of the season to lift Upstate to its first victory over Furman in the team's Division I era. He added an assist on redshirt junior midfielder Paul Bobai's 80^th-minute goal as the duo each produced three points in the Spartans' match at Furman.

Coastal Carolina: Leading the Chanticleers to their first win of the season, Danny Cabera earned his first-career brace with a pair of goals in Coastal Carolina's 4-1 victory at South Carolina. He made the most of his three shot attempts against the Gamecocks, placing all three on goal with two finding the back of the net.
