Upstate: For the first time since joining the Big South, Upstate claimed both the conference's Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week as sophomore forward
Ashley Finn and sophomore goalkeeper
Cora Brendle, respectively, took home the honors. Finn scored a hat trick against South Carolina State last Sunday—her first career multi-goal match—while Brendle posted a solo and combined shutout to go 2-0-0 in net last week.
Â
Charleston Southern: Jenea Knight, like Finn and Brendle for Upstate, enters as a reigning winner of a Big South weekly award, taking home Freshman of the Week honors last week. She scored a pair of goals for the Buccaneers last week, netting her first career goal against North Florida and the game-winner against Jacksonville.
