SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Spartans fought to a tough, 1-1 tie on Senior Night, securing another point in Big South play in the process.
The game script for the match against High Point somewhat followed the same one as the 1-1 tie with Winthrop, a sleepy first half erupts for a period of 10 minutes in the second with both teams finding goals.
High Point drew first blood as the Panthers found the back of the net thanks to Brendan Kreugar. Upstate responded shortly thereafter, as Marcus Waern picked up his first career goal.
The Spartans sit at a symmetric 5-5-5 record going into the last match of the regular season vs UNC Asheville.
