Series History
Continuing a two-game stretch of games versus Atlantic Coast Conference opponents, Tuesday's meeting between USC Upstate and Clemson marks the second all-time meeting between the two programs in the Spartans' Division I era (2007-pres.). The Spartans and Tigers' lone meeting came on Dec. 2, 2015, with the Tigers claiming a 76-66 victory over the Spartans at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Following up his 12-point effort in his first collegiate outing, freshman guard Justin Bailey topped his opening-night performance by leading all Spartan scorers against No. 7/8 Duke with 13 points—all coming in the second half. With double-figures in each of the first two games of his career, he becomes the third true freshman with 10 or more points in each of his first two games under head coach Dave Dickerson, joining Jordan Gainey (2021-22) and Everette Hammond (2018-19).
 
Clemson: Making his season debut against South Carolina last Friday, junior center PJ Hall scored a team-high 15 points while shooting 58.3 percent (7-of-12) from the field, collecting the 30^th double-digit scoring game of his career. He finished last season as the Tigers' leading scorer, averaging 15.5 points and 5.8 rebounds over 30 games (29 starts) last season.
 
UP Next for the Spartans
Upon concluding a two-game road swing against ACC opponents, the Spartans return home next Friday for the first game of the Collegiate Hoops Roadshow—a multi-team event produced by Russ Potts Productions, Inc. Upstate hosts Coastal Carolina to open the MTE with the game featuring a 7:30 p.m. ET tip-off as part of a Spartan basketball doubleheader.
