Spartans Return to the G.B. Hodge Center to Host Queens University Royals

Series History 
USC Upstate and Queens University of Charlotte have a series dating all the way back to 1992 when Upstate downed the Royals 82-59 for the first time in Charlotte. Upstate leads the overall series 5-0 with three victories at home and two on the road. The Spartans most recent victory was an 82-71 win at home during the 1994-1995 season.

Players to Watch 
Upstate: Isabella Geraci earned her second double-double of the season this past week against Morehead State where she scored 17 points and made 10 rebounds. Overall last week, Geraci posted 31 points, 25 rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block. Johnson also found her stride across last week's three-game run as she scored 38 points, had 11 rebounds, nine assists, and six steals in her 90 total minutes of play.   

Geraci and Markham have been consistent pieces in the Spartans starting line-up this season. Jeni Levine and Rebekah Gordon have worked their way into the starting line-up since the Morehead State game (12/12/22). Trinity Johnson worked her way back into the starting line-up since the Morehead State game (12/12/22) after being out for an injury that occurred in the season opener against Southern Wesleyan (11/7/22).  
 

Queens: Alexandria Johnson led the Royals against the Highlanders of Radford, as she scored in double-figures for the fifth game this season. Johnson scored 17 points against the Highlanders along with collecting two rebounds, making two assists and making one steal. Kasey Kidwell also scored in double-figures with 14 points over the Highlanders. Jordyn Weaver led the Royals in rebounds with eight.  

 
 
UP Next for the Spartans 
Upstate will take a break for the holidays and will resume play on December 29th to open Big South Conference play with Winthrop in Rock Hill, S.C.
