SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Upstate women's soccer adds another All-Freshman Team honoree to the team as head coach Sharif Saber recruited Savannah Noll to the Spartan Army. Noll is a freshman who spent time this past season in forward and midfielder roles for the Longwood University Lancers. Â
During her freshman season, Noll saw time in all 18 games and made 14 starts to accumulate a total of 940 minutes and lead the Lancers with eight points on the season. Noll scored her first career goal against UMBC where she helped the Lancers walk away with a 4-1 victory. She had an impressive performance against Howard University where she not only notched one goal herself but also earned her first career assist to help the Lancers acquire a 2-0 win. In addition, Noll has proven she can handle pressure as she scored her third goal of the season against Big South competitor, Charleston Southern, to tie the road match 1-1 in the 89th minute. Â
Prior to her time at Longwood, Noll was an All-Conference and All-Region selection who played three years of varsity soccer at Cox Mill High School. During her junior year, post COVID, Noll helped to win the 3A State Championship, racking up 14 goals and eight assists along the way. She finished her senior year at the top of her game with 20 goals on the season along with six assists and leading the team to the second round of the State Tournament. She graduated from Cox Mill High School with a total of 41 goals and 16 assists under her belt.Â
