SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Looking for its second sweep during Big South Conference play, USC Upstate baseball collected said sweep behind another double-digit scoring outburst as the Spartans outlasted Charleston Southern in a 10-5 victory Saturday afternoon at Cleveland S. Harley Park.
For the second straight game, Upstate pushed across a run in the first inning, posting a three-spot in the first. The three first-inning runs started a streak of three innings with a Spartan run as the team added three in the second and one in the third to build a 7-0 lead. The Buccaneers scored each of their five runs in the middle innings, tallying a run in the fourth, three in the fifth, and one in the sixth. Answering the five Charleston Southern runs, Upstate posted a third three-run inning in the sixth to end the game's scoring.
For the first time this season, senior second baseman
Cameron MacIntosh posted back-to-back multi-RBI games, following up his three-RBI game from Friday with three more RBI Saturday to lead the Upstate offense. Freshman designated hitter
Noah Sullivan paced a group of five multi-hit Spartans with a 3-for-3 day while collecting Upstate's other multi-RBI game.

Scoring Summary
- B1: Following up a six-spot from yesterday's first inning, Upstate plated three runs in Saturday's first inning. With Myers at second base, Noah Sullivan drove home the second run with a double to the gap in left-center before Noah Rabon brought home Sullivan with a groundout to the right side.

Sullivan provided the fireworks again in the second with his second two-bagger of the afternoon, driving home Myers from third.
- B3: Behind the team's third RBI double of the day, Adam Grob drove home Upstate's lone run of the third as he doubled off the wall in centerfield as Cullison raced in from second following a double of his own.

- With three hits, Sullivan collected his team-leading 18th multi-hit game of the season. During the Charleston Southern series, he picked up multiple hits in all three games.
- Legging out six doubles, Saturday's game marked the second game this season for the Spartans with a season-high six doubles, joining the Kennesaw State game from March 29. Sullivan and Easton Cullison each produced a two-double game, giving Upstate seven individual two-double games this season.
- Throughout the Charleston Southern series, the Spartans swiped 10 total bases over 11 attempts. The 10 steals marked the most in a single season for Upstate this season.
