Ravenell and Ferguson Travel to Bloomington to Represent Upstate at the NCAA East Prelims

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - After their season-long efforts, Bryce Ravenell and Channing Ferguson of USC Upstate's men's Track & Field will head to Bloomington, Indiana to compete in the NCAA East Preliminary May 25th-28th. Both Ravenell and Ferguson will participate in the men's long jump on Wednesday, May 25th at 6:00 p.m. Ferguson will also compete in the men's high jump on Friday, May 27th at 2:30 p.m.

Ravenell most recently competed in the men's long jump and men's high jump at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He placed third in both events with a 7.40m long jump and a new personal best of 2.07m in the high jump. Ravenell was able to etch his name in the Upstate record book after setting a new Upstate record in the high jump after the 49er Classic.

Ferguson is coming off his second-place performances at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships where he competed in the high jump (2.07m) and the long jump (7.55m). Earlier this season, Ferguson was ranked 15th nationally for the long jump and 20th nationally for the high jump as well as set new Upstate records in both events on multiple occasions throughout the season.
