How it Happened
A fifth starting lineup in as many matches saw the field tonight in Atlanta, but it took the Spartans a bit to get moving offensively. Georgia State took the first 7 shots of the match, but Upstate's first was a good look.

24' Andrin Zumbuhl received a long pass from Upstate's half of the pitch and took a great 1 on 1 shot. Georgia State's goalie was forced to make an equally great save to punch the ball up over the net.

32' Not long after that, Kasper Jorgensen showed some incredible footwork and a small hurdle before launching a deep pass across the field to Braiden Hall, who nearly scored his second goal of the season.

33' Braiden Hall rips another shot on goal, but can't quite find the mark.

77' Luca Bulfon makes an incredibly athletic play to stick his left paw up in the air to swat a Panther's shot away, keeping the match notched at 0.

83' Georgia State's Charlie Ward is able to break the tie and winds up scoring the only goal of the match.

The Spartans wouldn't be able to get an opportunity to even the score.

Notables
  • Freshman Braiden Hall paced the Spartans in shots on goal for the second time this season.
  • Kasper Jorgensen has played the full 90 in 3 matches this season
  • Marcus Waern started his second match in a row
  • Former Spartan Marrio Arrocha tied for the lead in shots on his new team, but was unable to capitalize on them
  • The Spartans had five yellow cards in the match, their most this season.
