How it Happened
17' – The Camels found the back of the net first, taking a 1-0 lead within the first 20 minutes. The Spartans shook off the early blow and found the back of the net themselves…
37' - …thanks to a perfectly placed
Felipe Marty free kick. Marty launched the ball to the far post where Andrin Zumbuhl was patiently waiting. Zumbuhl redirected the pass with his head, placing it right by the keeper for his second Upstate goal.
39' – The Camels took the lead again, taking advantage of the first penalty kick against the Spartans of the season.
81' – The second half saw the Spartans come out aggressively, putting pressure on the Camels for the majority of the final 45. That aggressive play was rewarded with
Luke Halkett's first career goal, coming off a pass from fellow freshman
Peyton Pressley.
85' – Campbell took the final shot of the night, but
Luca Bulfon was there to record his 8
th save of the night, which tied his season high.
Notable
-The Spartans are on a 3-game scoring streak, recording 8 goals in that span.
