GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Spartans are returning home after taking a 2-0 loss to the Furman Paladins in Greenville Tuesday night.
The night got off to a poor start for the Spartans with a penalty kick awarded to the home team in the first two minutes of the match. Furman capitalized and took a 1-0 lead.
The Spartans would end the first half winning the shots battle but the Paladins extended their lead early in the second half.
Upstate would be led offensively by Braiden Hall, who took three shot and put on on goal. Dario Stadler and Anthony Cox were the only other Spartans to take more than a shot in the match.
