SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Coming off the team's home opener Sunday—a 106-48 win over Carolina University—USC Upstate men's basketball opens its eight-day, three-game road swing Wednesday night. The trip opens with a 7:00 p.m. ET tip-off at East Carolina as Upstate renews its series with the Pirates, meeting for the third time in the Spartans' Division I era (2007-pres.).

USC Upstate: Through three games this season, redshirt junior guard Trae Broadnax leads the Big South in total assists (13), ranks second in the league in assist/turnover ratio (6.50), and ranks third in the conference in assists per set (4.33). He also leads the Spartans, averaging 12.0 points per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 80.0 percent from three. Broadnax also ties for the team lead in rebounds, pulling in 13 total, averaging 4.33 per game.
 
East Carolina: Entering Wednesday's game, the Pirates sport a pair of players averaging 20-plus points per game as redshirt junior forward Brandon Johnson and junior guard RJ Felton average 21.0 and 20.5 points per game, respectively. The pair each feature a 20-point scoring game to their credit this season as Johnson tallied 29 points against Ferrum and Felton 30 points against Campbell—he pulled in 11 rebounds for the Pirates' lone double-double of the season.

Gameday Parking
Fans attending USC Upstate basketball games in the coming weeks will notice a change in parking options. Parking for the general public will only be available in front of the Hodge Center as the rows adjacent to the building on the University Way side are closed due to renovation work to the Hodge Center roof. VIP parking for donors entering the Champions Suite behind the Arena is unaffected. Parking is free for all USC Upstate basketball games and the closure of the side lots around the building will be in effect indefinitely.
