Players to Watch
Upstate: After claiming the Big South Regular Season title for the first time and the program's first conference title since 2001, the Spartans were ranked number one in the Big South tournament. Upstate enters the championship game after defeating Presbyterian College 2-1. Dara Russo leads the Spartans in points with 21, netting her eighth goal of the season in the semifinal game. Russo won Big South Offensive Player of the Year, breaking multiple program records this season. Nya Baccelli adds eight goals of her own. Paige Armstrong has five goals, netting her fifth one in the semifinal game. Goalkeeper Meghan Groah has made 41 saves on the season.
 
High Point: The Panthers enter the tournament seeded second, advancing to the championship game after defeating Radford in overtime 3-2. Sabba Haghgoo leads the Panthers in goals with six. Ella Vaughn adds four goals, with Alex DePerno leading the way in assists with five. Goalkeeper Aubrey McKessy has 43 saves on the season.
 
UP Next for the Spartans
With a win, the Spartans will earn an automatic bid to the Division I Women's Soccer Championship preliminary round. The selection show will be held on Monday, November 11th at 4:00 pm ET.
