USC Upstate baseball to host Gamecocks and Tigers at Fluor Field

Continuing a successful partnership that has seen USC Upstate baseball host games at Fluor Field during each of the last three seasons, the Spartans build upon their partnership with the Greenville Drive, hosting two midweek contests at Fluor Field in 2024. 

Up first, the Spartans will host the South Carolina Gamecocks on Tuesday, March 19.  First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. ET.  This will mark the only meeting between the two clubs in 2024.   

On Tuesday, April 2nd, USC Upstate will host Clemson for the third straight season also with a first pitch set for 6:00 p.m. ET.  The contest marks game two of three games scheduled during season between the programs. 

Tickets for the USC Upstate home games at Fluor Field range from $9-$14.  Fluor Field, home of the Greenville Drive, High-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, has a clear bag policy.

Quick hits about the Spartans, Gamecocks and Tigers…
Through March 12, USC Upstate, the preseason favorite to win the Big South Conference, is 10-7 on the season. The Spartans lead the Big South in batting average (.310) and home runs (35) and are tied for 8th nationally in long balls. USC Upstate will open Big South play with a three-game series this weekend against Gardner-Webb at Harley Park on the USC Upstate campus. Admission to USC Upstate home games at Harley Park is free, compliments of Ingles.

South Carolina (14-3) is ranked 20th in the national polls going into the SEC opener at Ole Miss this weekend. On the mound, the Gamecocks held the 2nd best team ERA in the SEC, and the nation, at 2.21 as of March 12th.

Clemson (14-1) heads into ACC play this weekend at Duke ranked as high as 10th in national polls and will play 13 games before the April 2nd matchup at Fluor Field.
