USC Upstate: Upstate heads into the final Big South series of the season with the Regular Season Championship and No. 1 seed already in hand. Denver Lauer has led Upstate's offense through the entire 2024 season with 34 runs, 48 hits, seven doubles, four homeruns, 28 RBI, and 67 total bases along with a .358 batting average, .446 on base percentage, and .500 slugging percentage. Freshman Sierra Maness continues to lead the pitching staff with a 2.32 ERA, 139.0 innings pitched, 113 strikeouts and 13 wins. Maness most recently collected her fourth Big South weekly honor of the season after throwing her first career perfect game against South Carolina State last Wednesday.
Winthrop: The Eagles are set to finish the series against the Bucs of Charleston Southern on Thursday night before welcoming the Spartans to Terry Field on Friday and Saturday. Winthrop is led on offense by KaDedra Temple with 17 runs, 39 hits, 10 doubles, three homerun, 23 RBI, 58 total bases, and two stolen bases along with a .342 batting average, .417 on base percentage, and .509 slugging percentage. The Eagle's pitching staff is led by Reese Basinger with a 2.52 ERA, nine wins, 150.0 innings pitched, and 118 strikeouts.
