Clemson, SC - USC Upstate women's golf wrapped up the two-round, one-day Tiger Classic, finishing 13th in a highly competitive field. Super sophomore
Supatta Puttanavarat led the Spartans with a 7th-place overall finish. The Sophomore from Thailand started the second round in second place after shooting five under par but had a few bad breaks to fall slightly on the leaderboard. Her first-round score of 67 was third-best in the field.
The Spartans entered the second round in tenth place, just a few strokes away from breaking into the top five.
Rylie Kosney shot 77-77-154, securing a top-60 finish.
Alexis Rieli carded an 81-78 to finish 79th. Teammates
Eliza Whiteside (160),
Grace Garner (164, competing as an individual), and
Madison Dixon (169) rounded out the scoring for the Spartans.
The Spartans will take a short breather before heading to Pawleys Island for the Golfweek Invitational, set to begin on Saturday, September 7th.
